BRR Internships (UNPAID)

BRR internship gives students opportunities to gain valuable business experience within their desired fields while contributing to the goals of the organization. Internships may be considered for part-time work during the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Each internship position will be structured around a project(s) that will benefit both the intern and BRR. The project will include opportunities for the intern to exercise autonomy in developing and implementing a plan for completion. Goals will be discussed and regular feedback sessions will occur during the period of the internship, as well as a final evaluation completed by both the intern and BRR. Interns will receive onboarding and training to learn about BRR and gain the knowledge needed to best perform in their role.

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Intern

Our Business Development and Strategic Partnerships department are responsible for generating and garnering corporate revenue, value and promotion for BRR in exchange for benefits to partners. The department seeks an intern to work with the business development team with a focus on all revenue streams including corporate partnerships. The intern will assist with deep dive research and analysis, PowerPoint proposal creation, contract management and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of the job, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once, and proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Marketing/Social Media Intern

Implements marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and create engaging social media content for BRR’s audience and partners. The Marketing/Social Media Intern will gain project management experience while helping implement a new online interface for participants in BRR’s programs. This position offers the opportunity to learn the skills needed to lead a large strategic change project in order to meet business development goals. Specific duties will include creating and distributing project status updates, following up on project deliverables to ensure deadlines are met and updating detailed project plans. This position requires great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills and should be filled by someone who is analytically minded and highly motivated.

Requirements: Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of the job, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once, and proficient in Social Media, Excel, and WordPress.

Website Intern

Responsibilities:
Manage Boston Road Runners WordPress websites
Tweak the website to ensure greater functionality and user engagement
Resolve website bugs or glitches quickly
Configure website images for maximum impact through social media sharing
Continually monitor site health (performance, page indexing, SEO)
Manage Google Analytics Dashboard and report on website analytics weekly
Manage Google Apps for Work account and troubleshoot problems
Post special content and manage website portion of seasonal fundraising campaigns

Requirements:
Be able to work diligently on your own to complete regular maintenance to the website
Have expert knowledge of WordPress and experience with common plug-ins
Have excellent communications skills and experience working remotely or as a consultant on web-related tasks

Accounting Intern

Responsibilities:
