The Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK) is proud to host the 4th Annual Community 5K Race on April 8th, 2018 that brings together nonprofit organizations serving the diverse Asian population in Greater Boston. The 3.1-mile course is around a beautiful reservoir surrounded by trees and parks and consists of a DOUBLE LOOP course. The race begins at Chestnut Hill Reservoir behind Reilly Memorial Rink.

RACE SCHEDULE

8:15 AM – Number Pick-Up Opens
9:00 AM – 5K Starts
10:00 AM – Award Ceremony
10:15 AM – Course Closes

 

COURSE

The course is a 3.1-mile DOUBLE LOOP around the beautiful Chestnut Hill Reservoir. It will start on the Beacon Street side of the reservoir path and will end after the second loop.

PARKING

Parking has been known to be an issue, so plan accordingly!  Parking is available around the reservoir and on Beacon St. Please read all street signs and obey parking regulations. Additional parking is available at Boston College Parking Garage.

Take the MBTA if possible to reduce traffic, parking congestion, and ecological impact.

 

BAGGAGE

There will be a safe place to store your personal items.

Do not check any valuables. Although we will do our best to ensure that your gear is waiting for you at the end of the race, we are not responsible for lost items and/or gear check bags.

 

RESTROOMS

Restrooms available in Reilly Memorial Rink. Please respect the surroundings to ensure we are able to continue using the park as our home base.

The prizes for Top Female & Male and Age Group Winners Female & Male are Marathon Sports Gift Cards.

 

RACE FEE BREAKDOWN

The following is a close approximation of how the race fee is allocated in BRR’s service plan.

Cost Service Details
50% ATASK Supports ATASK’s mission to raise awareness and prevent domestic violence.
5% Permit Fees Contributes to fee for insurance, application, course certification, and other USATF required costs.
15% Security & Staff Contributes to compensation for park rangers, police, and other assorted security personnel.
20% Road Race Expenses Photographers, Race Equipment, Race Supplies, Water, Food, Portable Restrooms, etc.
10% Timing Expenses Contributes to cost for timing services.
