As a Data Analytics Intern, you will play a critical role in analyzing and explaining our data from (website, newsletter, registration, etc.). It is essential that the Data Analytics Intern has a sharp analytical eye. The Data Analytic Intern is responsible for the collection and organizing information related to demographics. The proper usage and interpretation of this data is critical to our success.
As part of the Boston Road Runners team, you will be helping to foster and support an inclusive Greater Boston running community by creating an open, accessible, and welcoming environment for athletes of all backgrounds and experience levels across the region.
The ideal candidate for this position must not be afraid to tackle problems. They must be strong in extracting clues and building conclusions from large amounts of demographic data such as gender, place of residence, and run times. They must be able to work in a dynamic team environment, connecting with others easily, and most importantly, having a positive attitude. Having a go-getter personality is essential, and they should always consider the entire picture when starting new projects. This person’s motto might be “I don’t understand everything, but I know I can do it.” An adventurous individual and fears almost nothing, and approaches tasks with an upbeat attitude. The candidate should be very adaptive and quick in finding solutions to problems.
Responsibilities of the Data Analytic Intern include:
- 3-month commitment
- Analysis of Boston Road Runners data
- Ability to work diligently on your own to sort and analysis data
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and related applications is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communications skills
- Able to make connections easily with others
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
